TF-34 Turbofan

It is with great pleasure that we present our true-to-scale replica of the TF-34 turbofan, which is used in the S-3 Viking and A-10 Warthog. Factory drawings of the original engine, measurements of original spare parts, as well as references from the Aerospace Museum in Sacramento, CA, have contributed to our model being absolutely true to scale. Not only the fan, but also the stator stage behind it was accurately reproduced.

In terms of aerodynamics, the fan was designed in such a way that it starts turning even at low airflow speeds. Aerodynamic restrictions prevent an excessive rpm, even at the highest flight speeds of the model. Double ball bearings with industrial bearings guarantee smooth running, high-quality fiber-reinforced material ensures high strength at temperatures above 100 degrees centigrade (210°F).

 

Our first set was produced on a 1/6 scale for the A-10 from the renowned manufacturer MIBO using the 3D printing process. With only 250g (8.8oz) per ready-to-install, painted unit, we are over 30% lighter than the original accessories.

 

We offer you two options:

 

• Mounted fan, complete with all bearing seats, threads and screw connections. Light sanding of the surfaces as well as the entire paint job is done by you.

 

• "Go Fly": You receive the fan ready for mounting, fully painted. The stators are matt black, the fan blades are painted with a steel effect paint and sealed with clear cote. The fan carrier is primed in white, light gray or black according to your wishes and ready to be painted in aircraft color.
